High Quality, Affordable Childcare

Catering for up to 58 children aged from 8 weeks to 8 years, on a full or part time basis, the nursery is owned and managed by an experienced early years teacher (NNEB, BA, QTS) with more than 13 years in the early years field at both caring and management levels.

Our mission is “to provide a happy, homely and stimulating environment in which children can thrive emotionally and educationally through planned and spontaneous activities”. Our primary aim is to nurture happy and confident children who are interested in all they see, hear and do, whilst giving them the best possible start in life.

Research has shown that children learn more in the first five years of their lives than at any other time, and that they learn most when they are happy, relaxed and having fun; doing the things that they enjoy doing. Put simply they learn best when they are playing. We understand this and the fact that the needs of children are age specific. Most of our activities are therefore based upon structured play opportunities within a broad and balanced curriculum that has been designed to reflect best practice:

• For children from birth to three provision reflects “Birth to Three Matters”
• For children from three to five provision reflects the “Foundation Stage”.

When you place your child with us, we understand that you are placing your trust in the nursery and its staff. We firmly believe that our staff are our most important asset. This is reflected in everything that we do. In particular, our ratios are above the national standards to ensure that each child will receive the individual care and attention they need to develop new skills, and to discover that learning really can be a fun and exciting experience!
